BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dr. Mensa Otabil
Dr. Mensa Otabil is a Pastor, Educator, Entrepreneur and Consultant. He is the Founder and General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church with its network of local churches, Multifaceted Ministries and Initiatives in Ghana other parts of Africa, Europe and the United States.
Dr. Otabil is the Founder and Chancellor of Ghana’s premier private university; Central University College, Chief Executive Officer and Consultant of Otabil and Associates; an Executive and leadership growth consultancy. Currently he serves on the board of Kings University College, National Peace Council, Starwin Limited, Institute of Economic Affairs and Central University College.

John Kofi Mensah
John Kofi Mensah holds an MSc. degree in Banking and Finance from FINAFRICA in Milan, Italy and a BA degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Ghana, Legon. He has over twenty years experience within the banking industry with special expertise in Treasury Management, Credit Management, Foreign Operations and nurturing new banks.
Before joining First Capital Plus, he was the Deputy Managing Director of uniBank Ghana Limited responsible for the day to day management of the bank’s operations. Prior to joining uniBank he worked at International Commercial Bank as the General Manager/Deputy CEO and supervised the organic growth of the bank. He has also worked with the erstwhile Bank for Housing and Construction and the Securities Discount Company Limited.
He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business administration (DBA) Degree at the Swiss Management Centre University, Switzerland.
Dr. Stephen Enchill
Dr. Enchill holds a Doctorate degree in Business Administration from the Swiss Management Center, Switzerland and an MBA from IFM (University of Manchester and Wales). He is also a Chartered Accountant and holds the Final Certificate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana).
Dr. Stephen Enchill has a wealth of experience through the following positions he held over the years: Finance Manager, Ikam Limited; Principal Accountant, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation; Audit Manager, Pannel Kerr Forster (Chartered Accountants); Internal Auditor, Unilever Ghana. Dr. Enchill serves on other corporate Boards such as Ekumfiman Rural Bank Limited, Glico Life Insurance Company, Glico General Insurance Company, and Actionaid Ghana. He is also a financial advisor to the International Central Gospel churches. He is the Managing Partner of Forbes Consult International (Chartered Accountants & Management Consultants)
William Ato Essien
William Ato Essien holds a BSc. (Marketing option) degree from the Central University College and a Certificate in Micro-Finance. He serves on the Board of Wade-Laurel Printing Press Limited (which he founded), Wanart Marketing Consult and FCP Trust.
He is an astute entrepreneur with a wealth of experience in micro-financing and business financing structuring. Mr. Essien is an avid motivational speaker and he believes that business leaders and leaders in general should harness the power of God in the marketplace to deepen their knowledge and also maximize the effectiveness of their activities.
In 2012, he was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year – Banking & Finance Category for the year 2011 by the Ghana Entrepreneurs Foundation for exhibiting an outstanding entrepreneurial spirit and for his achievements in sustaining economic growth, generating employment and innovation in Ghana.
In 2012 he was also awarded as a finalist in the Emerging Entrepreneur Category at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year West Africa Awards for exhibiting outstanding performance in the areas of entrepreneurial spirit, financial performance, strategic direction, global impact, personal integrity and influence.
He is the founder of the William Ato Essien Foundation (WAEF) which was established in June 2011 to provide financial support for educational and health purposes and also to impact the society in general.
I. Osah Thompson-Mensah
Osah holds a MSc. in Management, Strategy and Projects from the Umea School of Business and Economics (USBE), Sweden and a BSc. Admin Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS).
Prior to joining FCP, Osah worked at Ecobank Ghana Limited from 2004 to 2009 as a Credit Analyst and later as a Senior Credit Analyst where he was a member of the Credit Committee and responsible for supervising and coaching newly hired credit analysts in the areas of analysis, facility structuring and credit report write-ups. He was also involved in the training of other credit analysts from other affiliates within the Ecobank Group.
Osah also worked at Gold Coast Securities Limited as a Fund Management Trainee and later as a Senior Fund Analyst. His expertise is in SME development and financing, risk management and strategic management.
He is currently the Chairman of OTM Integrity Limited.
Harry Owusu is the Chairman of Gemini Life Insurance Company (GLICO) in Ghana. Mr. Owusu holds a BA (Education) degree from the University of Cape Coast and graduate diploma in Communications Studies from University of Ghana, Legon. He received further training at the Economic Development Institute of the World Bank, USA, the Development Finance Institute of the Private Development Corporation of the Philippines and the Duke Centre for International Development, Duke University North Carolina, USA.
He has held senior management positions in National Investment Bank. He has also served on several Boards of corporations including Rhecach Buffalo Ghana Limited, Accra Markets Limited, Ghana Highway Authority, Ghana Stock Exchange, the Novotel Hotel, Accra, the Gaming Commission, GETFUND and GCNet
Rev. Fitzgerald Odonkor
Rev. Fitzgerald Odonkor, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science and an MBA from the University of Ghana. He also studied in Paris at the Alliance Francaise de Paris where he graduated with a Diplome D’EtudesFrancaises.
He joined Ecobank in 1991 and rose from the position of a credit officer in charge of foreign trade to Head of Operations. Until his retirement from Ecobank in 2009 he was the Managing Director of Ecobank Gambia.
Michael Amankwa holds a Master of Science Degree in information and Telecommunication Systems from the John Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and accounting information systems from James Madison University.
Mr. Amankwa is currently the Managing Director of CoreNett Limited; a transactions processing Management Company that provides cutting edge solutions, enabling the processing of various electronic transactions. Michael began his career with a successful tenure at Booz Allen Hamilton - (USA). He served as a Senior Consultant (Enterprise Networking Management) and worked in different capacities on key Government projects for various US federal agencies and foreign governments.
He was also elected President of the Booz Allen Hamilton Toast Masters. Michael is a noted motivational speaker and has hosted and attended speaking engagements throughout the Washington Metropolitan area in US and Africa. His standpoint is that Dreams are worthless without action.
Alhaji Amadu Montia
Alhaji Amadu Montia holds a BSc. in Economics and Accounting from the University of Wales, Aberyswyth, UK. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers; UK.
Alhaji has acquired a lot of experience given his long service with bank of Ghana and the numerous positions held. He was with the Public Department office and then moved to the Bank Examinations Department where he conducted off-site examinations of Banks. He also worked with the Research Department of Bank of Ghana concentrating on research papers on the subjects; public accounts and monitoring; supervision of government accounts. He has stayed at the Banking Supervision Department until he retired in the year 2010 as the Assistant Director.
He was appointed to the Board of First Capital Plus in the year 2010. He also serves on the Boards of Global Access Savings and Loans Limited, ADB and ARB Apex Banks. He is Managing Director of Baobab Micro Finance and Board Chairman for the Borimanga Rural Bank Limited.
